AC Adapter Compatibility for Inspiron 1545 Laptop

Question

The AC adapter for my Inspiron 1545 went bad, and I'm waiting for a replacement to arrive by mail. However, I have to fly on business tomorrow morning and must use the laptop on my trip.  I have an AC adapter for a Dell Latitude X300 which appears to be plug compatible with my Inspriron. The specs of the adapter are a little different, though. My Inspiron 1545 adapter (the bad one) delivers 19.5 V and 3.34 A.  (PA-21family). The Latitude X300 adapter, which I would like to use, delivers 19.5 V and 4.62 A. (PA-10 family) My question:  can I safely use this X300 adapter with my Insprion 1545, and expect it to supply the proper power? Thanks.
