** ATTN DPORT Replicators with USB Problems *****
Okay, so I made the same initial mistake as some folks here on the board. The new DPORT replicator comes in, all of your cables are already neatly tucked & organized, why would I need to use this "supplied" powersupply in the replicator box?
DPORT supplied Powersupply = 90W
Dell supplied Powersupply for D-Series notebooks = 65W
Use the 90W powersupply for replicator to supply enough power to the USB ports, LEDs, dock/undocking functionality.
Use the 65W for your notebook w/o the dock.
This might be a repost, but I thought the topic would be bumped to the top for wide viewing.
