Alienware 15 Dead On Opening: "Check Cable Connection! PXE-M0F: Exiting PXE ROM"

I have a brand new Alienware 15 laptop that I bought for my college freshman daughter who will (hopefully) be using it for her Graphics Intensive coursework.   She opened up the box and we can't get it to boot up.  I get the error message shown in the subject during boot process.  It has never booted up.

I have reviewed the boot sequence and it has the HD first.   I have run the diagnostics from the startup screen and all pass.  I am now doing an overnight full HDD diagnostics test, so will know in the morning if there is a bad HD that shows up.

Obviously this is a disappointment.  Does anyone have any suggestions/ideas?   I expect to get with Tech support, but find out that they only work via phone and I am guessing that over the next many days, it will be a disaster trying to get through.   Any help or ideas would be greatly appreciated as I need to get this thing running before my daughter gets back to school.
