i got the same laptop (alienware 17 R2) and got exactly the same crash than you.... and i think we got the same ram too (Corsair Vengeance DDR3L 1600mhz 2x8GB CL 9-9-9-24)
i dont know whats the problem .... but for me the crash only happen the first boot ...... after that no other bsod
Kyleen32 i have an update that partially solved my problem:
try to start driver verifier (command prompt as admin-> type "verifier" and make start a check for all the driver present.
Make sure you will be able to enter safe mode at startup, THIS IS IMPORTANT
When i did that and i reboot, my pc crashes every time after 20 sec that windows was booted...
But dump files had more information, and turned out that the driver of my external sound card creative surround pro 5.1 was the issue. I installed a non-official driver and the problem is gone, i get bsod only when i play batman arkham night but i'm not sure that is caused by the same problem yet!
