Alienware M18x Problem
So, I got my Alienware M18x yesterday and I use it to play games. I play World of Warcraft and I have it on Ultra settings ( the max.) and I have 60 fps and no lag at all when I have my AC adapter on to charge the battery. But when I turn the adapter off, I get 16 fps and extreme lag. The computer is fine, I can use it without any problems but at games, I have the max. performance when I have my AC adapter on to charge my battery. So, what should I do? Please, someone help me

SpeedStep is correct; there is a board just for Alienware customers. I could move the thread over to that board but just wanted to ask if you have Nvidia Optimus or AMD switchable graphics for the notebook? If you only notice this problem while under battery I would have to say that the system is switching to integrated graphics while on battery. There are settings in both the Nvidia Control panel or in the AMD Catalyst Control Center that will allow you to assign a profile for each application that you are running and assign that application to the discreet GPU. If you have not tried it yet give it a go and assign WoW to the GPU and see if there is an improvement.
