Alienware m17x R1 - Video Issues, Sound Stutter, and DPC Latency
Hi All,
I have an Alienware m17x R1, Windows 7 64-bit, NVIDIA card, and running A03 and the NVIDIA beta drivers. I still have the stutter issue and with the Nvidia beta drivers, I cannot even access the NVIDIA control panel:
It keeps saying: Nvidia control display panel extension cannot be created.
Also, if I plugiin a HDMI cable to my external LCD monitor, the screen turns black and the system just freezes. My warranty is going to expire in 2 weeks... this sucks.... what can I do?

My advice (if still required after all this time) would be to keep the A03 Bios and completely uninstall the nvidia driver (delete the driver when asked) restart the machine in safe mode and use ccCleaner to wipe all traces of the driver again restart and then download and install the P06 driver from Dell:

Please ignore the P07 driver at this point as there are several reports of M17x machine freezing after installing (including myself), see
