Alienware m17xR2, Issue with HDD - missing?
Well my compute was running rather slow, and i was told that the a new bios is out, So i downloaded it, and i left it to do its thing.
When my computer restarted it came up with "No Operating system" I thought 'No biggie, Ill just reinstall windows.
Problem. For some reason only one of my HDD is appearing, And i cant do anything with it. Usually when i reforat it had 3 Hard disks, One is a backup. One only had a few MB in it (Dont know what its for) And one with about 900gb in it. Only ONE is appearing with 450gb.
I think possibly the drivers for the hard disk are missing in action. I also tried to look in the BIOS for the two HDD's. They appear in the BIOS They say
SATA Hard drive 1
LBA Format
maximum capasity: 500GB SATA1
Everything else is grayed out besides - 32bit I/O
The other drive says
Type: Auto
LBA FORMAT
Cap: 500GB SATA6
And 32BIt I/O
Any ideas? Im stumped.

Update: I managed to make some progress, I can now install windows, however the hard drives are no longer combined in My computer, this is a minor detail
