Are memory upgrades possible for Inspiron Mini 10V?

It is not possible to add memory on this computer.

As above, it is possible with the mini 10V (Inspiron 1011) - but NOT the mini 10 (Inspiron 1010).  It also requires removing the system board:

Dell currenlty have a promotion for a dell mini 1010 type netbook at about $450 with the same configuration you have (peviously 1GB RAM on daughterboard with no extra SIM slot) but this promotion offer has a 2GB daughterboard with RAM slot which is what you need.

I believe the offer includes an Atom Z series processor upgrade as well. At some point Dell will make this 2GB slotted daughter board available as an upgrade to the existing 1010 mini.

There is a daughterboard from another model which works but requires some supports to be made as the bolt holes don't line up. I have to remember which model - maybe the 1011 upgrade or similar I think. I saw it on another support site.

There is no other way that I know to do a RAM upgrade on this model and I do not wish to pay for an out-of-warrantee support call to get more details. Perhaps you will have more luck than me trying to find out when the upgrade will be available
