Audio problems
When I tried to play games on my Alienware gaming PC, I experienced NO SOUND when I played games or did anything outside of a internet browser. YouTube, browser games, etc work, but anything not on a browser displays no sound. I payed $1,800 for this computer, so can someone please help?

So no sound out of the laptop's speakers or headphones when playing files on the hard drive, but both work fine with streaming audio? I can't think of anything that would cause that behavior, except maybe the media player you are using is not working right. You might try a different player. The hardware on the laptop seems to be okay.
You could try posting on the Alienware Club section of the forum and maybe someone there will have a better idea..
