BIOS Failed update - Block by Intel(R) Anti-Theft?
Hi All Dell Pro,
I saw an update for my Dell XPS 14 (XPSL421X) on date 7th August 2012, downloaded and try to run it for the update.
Update "Extracted" contents, it pop up a message immediately saying as follow:
Error
The system is currently under InterR Anti-Theft Technology 4.0 protection.
Please un-enroll the client (Intel AT Service, Computrace LoJackm or PC Theft Defense Service)
before perform BIOS update.
I had gone through the "Intel(R) Anti-Theft" technology sites (https://atservice.intel.com/login.action), when I check it "enroll now / register now" it says I already enroll, I also cannot retrieve back my email or password, by the way, I don't recall any enroll or registration for this. How shall I update the BIOS in this case?

Issue resolved, was caused by Absolute Software, Computrace LoJack pre-installed in the Dell Ultrabook, have to log in to LoJack and "temporary disable" the Intel AT service from there.

This forum will not tell you how to bypass Intel(R) Anti-Theft" technology security.

Dear SpeedStep,
Thanks for the reply, I'm not gonna bypass the Intel(R) Anti-Theft, I think is good, I mean I own this laptop, I just want to make sure my laptop have all most up to date security / patches including BIOS. I just need to know either how I can retrieve my email (I can't recall I had enroll it at all) or how can I make this update in case of future. Call Dell or Intel?
