Backlit Keyboard Goes Off After only a few seconds of inactivity
Can anyone suggest an answer to this dilemma of mine? Backlight on my keyboard goes dark after only a few seconds of inactivity. How can I set it so that it remains lit for the entire time I am using the laptop? Thanks.

See if this helps (copied from a post by friedrickjoel)....
1 - Install Dell Quickset if it's not already installed. (Dell.com>Drivers and Support>Applications>QuickSet)
2 - Open Windows Mobility Center (Start>Type 'Mobility Center'>Choose 'Windows Mobility Center'
3 - Click the button with the picture of the Laptop and Keyboard
4 - Under 'Settings for keyboard lighting' choose 'Never Off'

That fixed the problem. Thank you very much for that suggestion. I had no idea such a setting even existed.
