Backlit keyboard upgrade
I wanted to know if i can upgrade to backlit keyboard from normal keyboard on dell xps 15 (L502x)... I took dell xps 15 from an online store which did not have backlit keyboard version but gave me a good deal . I really want to have the backlit keyboard, is it possible now

Replacing the keyboard for an LED keyboard requires removing the palmrest, and it would not be supported by tech support. If anything would be damaged while trying to install the keyboard, it would not be covered by any warranty on the notebook.
If you are good with notebooks, and aren't concerned about the warranty you can check for the LED keyboard for the notebook from the following website
accessories.us.dell.com/.../DellPartsFamily.aspx
You can also call in 1-800-357-3355 to check if a LED keyboard is available.
Here is a link to the service manual with instructions on swapping out keyboards.
