Bare-Bones Notebooks?
does dell let someone buy a notebook with no hard drive or memory?
maybe i should ask this in a different way.
can you choose not to get certain components in a notebook? i.e. RAM, hard drive, etc.
and if so, will dell still cover said notebook under warranty?

You have to configure it with HDD, RAM, etc..... there is no other way around it.

I guess the best you can do is to configure with the minimum of each component. For example, 128MB ram and 20GB harddrive. Then, take it out yourself
