'Base System Device'?

Hi,

I've just installed Windows 7 Professional onto my Dell Inspiron 6400. Despite what the Dell Win7 compatibility checker says, ("Buy a new computer!"), the machine seems to run the OS perfectly well in most respects. If anything, it seems to run quicker than when it had XP on it...

But, under 'Devices and Printers' the laptop icon does have a yellow triangle on it that informs me it 'needs troubleshooting'. When I do this I find that 'The driver for Base System Device' is not installed. However, Win7 cannot locate such a driver.

First off, I have no idea what a 'Base System Device' is and, as I say, everything seems to be running okay anyway.

Secondly, can anyone please advise me where I might find a driver for it, just to get rid of the yellow triangle?
