Bitlocker issue with new models Latitude E7270 E5470 E5570 and Precision 7710 , 7510

Hello,

I received last week, all those new models and I have an issue with all of them...

I deploy Windows 7 enterprise 64 bit with SCCM 2012 and bitlocker is setup during the task sequence with a PIN code on boot.

This process is working for all model until then .. Latitude and Precision from previous generations.. but now with new models there is an issue with the PIN. At the end of task sequence, the disk is encrypted and there is no error BUT the PIN code is not recognized and the recovery key is asked.

This recovery key is correctly registered in AD. TPM is on and ownership is ok. TPM version is 1.2...

I already tried to manualy decrypt and encrypt again after TPM reset but no way.

I also tried Windows 10 enterprise, and issue is the same.

Is it a known issue ? Did someone here already experienced the same ?

Mid-March was an ETA. ETA's can change and in this instance that is what has happened. Unfortunately the 5510 BIOS update has been pushed back to Mid-April now.

Totally understand about ETA's changing.  Thank you for the update.

The 5510 BIOS has now been released. I have updated my post in this thread with the link to the BIOS.

FYI, This issue is still occurring. Especially in conjunction with the TB15 dock. I've seen the issue on Precision 5510 with BIOS 1.2.0 and Latitude 7470 with BIOS 1.3.0.

well yes, if you dont update the bios the issue will persist as the problem is with the bios...

i dont have any 5510's but we got plenty of e7470 and they all work. The 7470 has bios version 1.4.2

I have downloaded the latest bios driver for the 5175 Version 1.00.07 but it still has not resolved the bit locker issue. do we have an eta on when it will be resolved?

I've just ordered 10 of these devices and they are complete duds if I cannot bit locker them even though the sales rep said they would be fine as this was a caviat of the order!!

Dell have released a new BIOS for the E5570 v1.5.0 and will re-image the laptop and see if this resolves the issue of Bitlocker activating midway through the deployment process

DUCCS is X-rite's i1 Profiler software. They simply made a custom version for Dell to calibrate the hardware LUT. 192.168.l.l

I can confirm the new BIOS resolves the issue of Bitlocker being activated midway through a SCCM deployment of  Windows 7 64bit

Sorry, we bought 2 hundred e5470 and we cannot get at Windows 7 enterprise TPM 1.2 available. After open a Dell incidente this monday, dell does not recognize this issue and do not explain how to fix it. A workaround is open the e5470 and disconnect the battery cable to flush all. After that tpm 1.2 appears at Windows 7 and we can activate bitlocker. Dell support services are spending all week asking the same questions and not solving the issue. Definetively Dell is not ok with TPM and bitlocker for sure.

We cannot use uefi and cannot change the bios to 1.2 on a e5570 latitude ?!! how can we fix this asap? we have bought a lot of e5570 systems but cannot encrypt. Bitlocker keeps asking for the recovery key! i tried the tool to change to tpm 1.2 but it says its not compatible with the system (e5570 latitude).

Anyone?

We are facing same issue with four different Dell E5470 even after the suggested BIOS update.  Dell seriously needs to fix this issue asap
