Starting up my dell Inspiron 11 3000 series I get a black screen that says no bootable device. How do I fix this so I can use my laptop? It has Windows 8 and I've not upgraded to anything else
Go into the system setup and ensure it's set to UEFI mode ON with secure boot on. While in there, see if the hard drive shows up in the boot list -- if it doesn't, it has failed and you'll need to replace the drive.
