Also, did you install any new program or added any hardware to your computer? If yes, then uninstall it and check.
Try the Online Diagnostics and see if it helps. Choose Symptom -> Blue Screen Analyzer. Based upon the results of this analysis, you may choose to run the trouble-shooter to fix these errors.
i did the diagnostics at startup and it passed all the tests. i also tried the blue screen diagnostics and when i try to run the blue screen troubleshooter, a notification pops up saying "dell system detect has stopped working." The troubleshooter just says please wait and nothing happens.
now it is back to saying iastor.sys. is there anything else that i can do? i am a college student and it is hard to get any work done with my computer restarting every fifteen minutes. Thanks
You may provide me the minidump files. Please follow the steps listed to provide the minidump files. We will decode this folder to understand the root cause of the issue that you have been facing:
- Navigate to C:\Windows\Minidump and tap - Copy all the 'Minidump' folders and paste them to your desktop screen - Please attach these folders in your next reply. - Let me check the 'Minidump' folder with a debugging tool to see if we get decisive results
Note: The minidump folders will be .exe folders. You will not be able to attach .exe files on this forum. Right click on each .exe folder and select 'Send to' and then select 'Compressed (Zipped) folder'. A zip file will be created which you can attach here.
In case you are unable to attach the dump here, then email me dumps on the email address. I have already sent it to you via private message.
I sent my email address to you via private message. I have sent it again. After you login to our community site, please click on the Messages to view the private message.
I have reviewed the minidump files. The blue screen error seems to have caused by iaStor.sys+7dbc8 driver.
Go to Control Panel -> Add or remove programs -> uninstall Intel Rapid Storage Technology Driver. Restart the computer and observe the computer for a day or two. Let me know the outcome.

Alien Autopsy says that it was this:
The "Intel(R) Mobile Express Chipset SATA RAID Controller" driver (C:\Windows\system32\drivers\iastor.sys) appears to have caused a crash.
What should I do now?
