Bluetooth App Not in Control Panel

I reinstalled my operating system and downloaded all the bluetooth drivers, but the application does not show up in the control panel. I cannot find the application. Can someone help. Thanks.

Hmmm.... On mine its there... So... idk

I have a M1530, and i can find Bluetooth under Start Up. Go to Start > All programs> Start Up. It may be there, but don't gamble on it.

Not heard of this issue before and there should definitely be a bluetooth icon in the control panel either put there by the installed software or by Windows vista as it comes with its own BT drivers. If it is not there then may be worth you looking in the device manager to see if you can find the BT device as it may not be working or disabled for some reason.

Oh just one final check, does your laptop have an on/off switch for all wireless devices? Having said that, I am sure BT still appears in the control panel even if the BT was off....although if it was switched off when you reinstalled your OS / BT software then that may be the cause.

Thanks for the reply. The on off swith for the wireless (Fn+F2) has not worked since my reinstall of XP (originally Vista) on my M2010. Do you know where I can find the drivers to get my on/off wireless buttons to work?

Thanks for the reply. I reinstalled XP (originally Vista) on my M2010 and there were no Bluetooth Drivers with it. Do you know how I can find them to load them on my computer?

I think it is linked to the Dell Quickset software.
