Bluetooth doesn't see device

I have a Dell Studio 1749 running Windows Home Premium 64 bit. I want to add a Motorola H730 headset. I have the Dell Wireless 365 Bluetooth module. That module doesn't see the headset and doesn't see my Samsung S5 with Bluetooth activated. My cell sees my laptop. I've downloaded the latest driver from the Dell web site. The version of that driver is 6.2.0.9603. Once installed the version shown in properties for the Bluetooth module is 6.2.0.9000. Any ideas why? I ran a PC diagnostic on the Bluetooth port and it's working OK. Mayday,Mayday
