Bluetooth not working after sleep

Not sure where is the best place to post this problem.  I'll do it here since it is a mouse I am having issue with (but I don't think its the mouses problem).  When my Inspirion 9100 goes to sleep and then when I wake it back up I lose the bluetooth so I have no bluetooth mouse (the blue light doesn't turn back on).  I have to power down (windows XP restart won't even do it).  Because the bluetooth light doesn't come on and I require a cold boot it leads me to believe that it is hardware not drivers or anything.

Thoughts?  Possible solutions?

Thanks

Chris

Chris,

Thank you for using the Dell Community Forum.

This is due to the hibernate mode on your computer.  This question should actually have gone into the Power Management forum, but I will answer it here.  Ideally, you should remove all external peripherals from the system when placing it into and coming out of suspend or hibernate mode.

Actually on hibernate mode it wakes up and the bluetooth is fine.  Its only when the laptop goes into power save mode or whatever its called if I leave the laptop for a while.

Also its not the external device (the mouse) - this is the internal dell bluetooth that came in the laptop... it never wakes back up as seen by the blue light on the laptop never coming back on. (makes no difference if I have the mouse on or off when the laptop goes into power save)

ideas?
