Hi tj31,

Please private message us the system tag and the region you are located so that I can check and assist you further. To send a private message, click on my name and send private message.

Also, I would like you to set the BIOS to defaults and check for issue resolution. Please follow the steps mentioned below to load the BIOS to defaults.

  1. Reboot the computer.
  2. When prompted during POST, press the key to enter the setup screen.
  3. On the System Setup screen, press the key.
  4. Press the key on Yes to Load Optimized Defaults and restart the computer.

In addition, run the diagnostics again to determine if there is an issue with the hard drive.

Hi Ravi - please let me know if you can still support this or do I need to go elsewhere. I have provided the request info but have not heard back for 2 weeks now.

I have the same problem with my two month old XPS 13 (9343). "No bootable devices found. Press F1 key to retry boot. Press F2 key for setup utility. Press F5 key to run onboard diagnostics." message appears during startup. This has happened several times, and for the time being I own a $2200 paperweight. The only way I have found to get the thing going again, is to boot from a USB drive and run system restore. The computer will work for a few days/reboots, and then the same happens again. Very frustrating!

When I press F5, the Diagnostics program reports that the HDD is missing:

"ePSA 4236.24 – Warning

Hard Drive – Not installed

Continue testing?"

and

"PSA V4236 Error 2000:0155. Hard Drive - Not installed"

After a USB boot and system restore, the HDD is listed as: SSD: LITEON CX-1-GB512-D11 m.2 2280 512GB

Ps. I am truly amazed with the lack of response from Dell. I thought Dell was supposed to be a reputable company? Two weeks for a reply, come on..seriously!

I have this identical problem with the refurbished Dell XPS 9343 which was sent to me to replace the brand new XPS 9333 which developed this problem under warranty claim.  I've owned 3 dell XPS in the past 12 months and each has had problems (the XPS 15 had a system reinstall and it is still working for the moment).

I have been experiencing exactly the same issue since I have bought my laptop back in September 2015.

As I was suggested by technical support, I have updated all the laptop drivers including the BIOS, with latest versions from the DELL website and also Windows 10 is fully up-to-date. Despite this, the problem still persists.

Technical support has not been very helpful as it looks like that they cannot read their own forums in order to find the answer that took me 5 minutes to find.

Can anyone confirm that the only way of fixing the freezing issue is to change the SSD drive?

If someone from the UK social media or marketing team wants to see the several videos I took of the constant freezing issue, that makes this very expensive laptop completely useless, I would be very happy to share them.

I really hope to hear from someone from Dell, soon.
