Only if you purchased insurance (Complete Care) with the system will a cracked screen be covered - otherwise, the cheapest route is to buy the part yourself (as little as under $100 for a 15" or smaller conventional screen to $300 or more if it's a touch screen or tablet system), and replace it yourself -- otherwise, figure on an hour's labor charge to have it replaced by a shop.

Just to add, you can get the Service Manual for your system at this link by entering your Service Tag, it will help with replacing the screen if you do it yourself. Also, if you meant the screen just isn't working (and not cracked) you can still use warranty, but like ejn63 mentions, if the screen is cracked it will not be covered unless the system has Complete Care.

Best regards,

Brad
