Button that pushes in when closing lap top is stuck - PLEASE HELP

The button that pushes in when the lap top is closed is stuck.  It looks like there are a few screws in the joint where the screen is connected to the "base", but I can't get to those - I am at a stand still on how to get to this to fix...can someone help ???

no problem, thanks for the attempt.  Did finally get it up, however, every time I close it - it get's stuck again.  Guess I'll need to have this checked.

I have the SAME problem.  The laptop pin which puts the portable into suspend mode when closed sticks when laptop is opened and must be manually disloged to allow the portable to fucntion.  Afriad this repeated task will eventually worsen the problem or at worst I may snap the pin.  Is this a common issue with this model or other laptops?  What are my options to address/fix?

Thanks

Ok, just an update for anyone esle who experiences this.  Call the tech service line, more than likley it's a broken guide beneath the base laptop cover.  It's easily replaced & in fact has been re-designed!  (guess we weren't the only ones with the problem).  I spoke to them yesterday, and the replacement part arrived TODAY!  Already reinstalled & couldn't be happier.

Thanks Dell!
