CPU FSB should match the RAM speed???
Hello,
so i am getting the core i7 cpu which has 1333mhz fsb. now, my ram comes with 1066mhz speed, and i am worried that my ram will be bottleneck for my performance because it is not as fast as the fsb. now i am a noob, so please help me out with this.
should i match the fsb with the RAM speed to get the maximum performance?? i know that the faster ram will give better performance. i am just worried that such high fsb in my cpu will be useless because my RAM is not as fast.
Also, according to Intel, PM55 chipset supports 1066mhz and 1333mhz ram. however if i get the 1600mhz ram on it, will it just reduce the speed down to 1333mhz?
Is there noticiable difference in speed if i switch from 1066mhz (CL7) to 1333mhz (CL7) ram? i can get the 1333mhz one in CL7 in newegg.
Thank you very much for your help!!!!

FSB counts but not as much as WAIT states.
DDR3 7-7-7-24 ram is not going to be as fast as DDR3 4-4-4-12
JEDEC DDR3 devices are
7-7-7-20 for DDR3-1066
7-7-7-24 for DDR3-1333
DDR3-0800 100 MHz 10.0 ns PC3-06400 5-5-5 6-6-6
DDR3-1066 133 MHz 07.5 ns PC3-08500 6-6-6 7-7-7 8-8-8
DDR3-1333 166 MHz 06.0 ns PC3-10600 7-7-7 8-8-8 9-9-9 10-10-10
DDR3-1600 200 MHz 05.0 ns PC3-12800 8-8-8 9-9-9 10-10-10 11-11-11
Larger timing numbers mean more wait states and SLOWER Ram.
MHZ isnt everything. Thats why CAS2 RAM beats CAS3 RAM in the same system with the same FSB.
