Dear HG2004,
The inspiron 15 7000 series 2-1 has a Noble Wedge Security slot.

Hi,
The Correct and fitting Security Cable for The Dell Inspirion 15" 7000 2-in-1 model is A NobleLocks Wedge Security Lock. It is smaller than a standard Lock and can thus fit in the smaller security slot.

My son just purchased a Inspiron 15 7000 series laptop and the kensington lock I was going to give him doesn't fit the smaller slot on his laptop. That's a sham on Dell's part to not open the slot up to fit other common (and less expensive) locks. I will seriously be looking for other similar marketing ploys before committing to Dell again.

That's a key cable lock. What about a combination cable lock?

I have an Inspiron 13 7000 2-in-1.
I bought the combination Noble Wedge TZ05T and it does not fit.
