Can boot to Windows - Cannot get into BIOS!

Question

My service tag ends in .  I can boot into windows or with a boot disk but cannot access my BIOS to change settings. I only get the message enter system password when I try. Can you help?   PX

You will need to call Dell with verification of ownership of the system.

Thanks, I am waiting for their response now. Does it make sense to be able to boot to Windows but not access the BIOS settings?

If there is an administrator password set (as opposed to a BIOS password), yes.  It will lock out the BIOS settings so they cannot be changed.

You are correct it does ask for an administrative password when I try to access the BIOS. Is there a method for changing that? Can it be removed?
