Caps Lock Key LED Won't Light

Good morning,

I am the new owner of Vostro 1000 ... Everything seems fine except the Caps Lock indicator LED above the keyboard will not light when Caps Lock is enabled... This is particularly annoying!

I believe it to be a hardware problem as the Num Lock and Scroll Lock will light, and they light while in the BIOS.

Does anyone have any suggestions on possible fixes for this? Am I missing something very simple?
