Caps Lock LED indicator does not illumiante

Question

Hello, I have a Inspeiron 6400/1505 and when I hit the CAPS LOCK key or upon boot up the CAPS LOCK LED INDICATOR does not illuminate. I was wondering if this was a bios/software problem that can be corrected or just a burnt out LED.

Caps are locking, all functions well except for indication. I was leaning that way too, thanks for the reply.

Are the caps locking? I.e. do you get all caps after pressing caps lock? If so, it looks like the LED is gone or the wiring to it is bad. Peter
