Case splits open near the hinge when the lid is opened
I have a Inspiron 15 7559 and when i open the lid, the case starts to pull apart near the left hinge. Does any else have this problem or know to to fix it?
I had something similar happen with an old Toshiba laptop years ago.

It's very unfortunate you're experiencing this kind of problem with the computer but Dell has a laptop hinge policy listed at the top of the forum.

Problem solved - It seems a few people have had this issue
I removed the back (just one screw) and the screws at the hinges were completely loose - tightened them and voila

I will keep that in mind if it happens to me. Was there any thread lock (blue stuff) on the screws?

Nope, not at all - the screws were pretty much falling out
