Changing Screen contrast and brightness

Question

I need to change my screen settings so that I can set up my color with Adobe Gamma.   Specifically, I need to adjust the contrast and brightness.   The help file directs me to go look in Media Center's settings, which have no search feature that I could find.   I have an Inspirion 9300 with Media Center 2006 edition.   Thank you.   Michelle

I have the Adoge Gamma control panel, so that's not a problem. Where do you adjust contrast?

you can adjust screen brightness using Fn+ up/down arrow keys. for gamma you may need to look in display properties>settings>advanced>color

Digital displays generally don't have contrast adjustments.  Even desktops with DVI-connected LCDs don't.

So do mine.  And they work when I hook in the VGA cable.  But not when I'm connected via DVI.

I have an Inspiron 9200 and I've wondered about adjusting the contrast on my LCD as well. A setting for this is available if you go into Display Properties:

Click Start
Click Control Panel
Click Display
Click on the 'Settings' tab
Click on Advanced
Click on the 'Color' tab
[If the 'Color' tab is not there, then your graphics card may not support this or you may not have the latest drivers installed]

There should be 3 slide meters, for Gamma, Brightness and Contrast that you can adjust.
