My inspiron 3558 charger is not working
it is a

2.31A one
can i use a 45W 19.5V 2.37A charger instead?

Hi PUTHALATHVINEETH,
We would recommend that you use a original Dell charger so that it doesn't affect the working of the system. The above should be compatible but we wouldn't recommend that you use any third party charger.
If you have any query, please click my DELL-username and send me a Private Message with the Dell Service Tag number and your email address, so that I can check on the system configuration.

As long as it's an OEM Dell charger, yes.
