Here's what page 173 in the XPS manual (inside the leather case) says:
"Wipe the keyboard, computer, and monitor plastics with a soft cleaning cloth moistened with a solution of three parts water and one part dishwahing detergent."
I haven't done it yet. Please let me know how it goes.
I have the black 1530 and also get alot of fingerprints on it. I used the cleaning cloth that came with it and it seems to work very well (not perfect, but, it does the job).
I must have ordered my M1530 before the cloth was bundled with them and didn't get one. I've tried to avoid using any cleaners other that a fibre cloth and some good old fashinoned water. Using a damp cloth I've cleaned the screen and keyboard and itssurrounding area.
The brushed aluminium finish has started to show a whiteness in the area where my plams rest when typing and I can't seem to get rid of it. Is anyone successfully using a cleaning solution for the aluminium and if so what is it?
Is anyone certain that the metal around the keyboard is brushed aluminium or is it stainless steel?
