Computer has 3 Model Names

Question

My right out the box XPS410 said just that on the tower, but when I went to 'control panel/system it says: DXP061, and when I go online my service tag says I have a Dimension 9200!!   I am rcving a new one soon, hopefully it will work unlike the 'brand new' one I rcvd.   The 'old' one would not download Adobe Reader or Flashplayer. Thats what started this all. The hardware techs could not figure it out, and the software tech worked valiently for 2 HOURS trying to fix it. He tried everything, and I mean every patch, forum advice, hijack advice, everything!!   Just curious what opinions and input you might have on this one. DXP061 = XPS 410/Dimension 9200.

They all use the same BIOS.

Dell has done the same thing with other units.

Inspiron 9400/E1705 = MP061
Inspiron 6400/E1505 = MM061
Inspiron 640m/E1405 = MXC061
Inspiron B120 = ME051
