Configure Media Controls to use iTunes?

I was told this is possible, but I can't find any settings for this.  Would someone be able to tell me how to configure the media controls on my laptop (Near the power buttom) to use iTunes?  I would really appreciate the help.  :)

It's a Dell XPS 1530.

Thanks Again.

Found an easier solution (and this one is what I'm using now as the others weren't working so well).

Download and install Microsoft IntelliType. When prompted for which keyboard model, tell it to use the 'Wireless Photo Keyboard' and allow it to install.  All 4 of the buttons on my computer (back, stop, play/pause, and next) work, as well as full functionality with my media remote when itunes is not the active program.

Hope this works for you.

Thanks for your response.  I tried that, and when iTunes is minimized or doesn't have focus, it's maximizing the application and giving it focus when I tap these buttons.  I then have to tap the button again (After iTunes is given focus) to have it do whatever it is I want it to do.  I'm usually very tolerent, but with the amount of machines that have iTunes installed, and it's grip on the music market, there is really no excuse for Dell not supporting this application.  It doesn't make any sense...  :(
