Wow... thanks for the link!! I'm a big reader of Tom's Hardware and actually went to the site to check out processors but I somehow missed that link. A lot of those benchmarks are based on the video and photo editing applications I use. I'm not sure exactly which 3.8GHz P4 I have in my Dimension 8400 but basically they all pale in comparison to the Core 2 Duo E6700. Considering I just ordered the new system over the weekend I am somewhat releived. :smileyhappy:
I'm looking forward to shorter video render times and faster Photoshop batch edits.
I was just wondering this myself. I currently have a 3.8GHz P4 and just ordered a 2.66Ghz Core 2 Duo and was wondering what the performance difference will be.
Yea thanks for the link. That helps, I'm getting a laptop and noticed they all had pretty low numbers but since they are core 2 duos they will be a lot faster than what I have now
