Could not find the Modem device for this driver.
Hi Guys,
Recently I did a system restore on my dell studio laptop. Shortly after I started downloading
the drivers. When I tried to Download the driver named CONEXANT D400 EXTERNAL USB 56K MODEM DRIVER
I was prompted with the error message that read COULD NOT FIND THE MODEM DEVICE FOR THIS DRIVER.
So that leads me to my question of what to do? All help is appreciated.
Thanks chris

Hi Chris,
Please share the system model and operating system installed.
Driver would only install if Conexant D400 External USB 56K modem is in use. If the Conexant D400 External USB modem was purchased with computer, you may download the Conexant D400 External USB 56K modem driver from the support website:
Please share the findings.

Hi Chris,
Thank you for information.
Conexant D400 External USB modem is optional at time of system purchase. Please check if the system was purchased with it.
You may find the images for Conexant D400 External USB modem below:
If the Conexant D400 External USB modem was purchased with computer and is in use only then you would be able to install driver for that. You would need to connect the modem to computer and then install the driver for same. If you did not purchase the Conexant D400 External USB modem, you need not to install the driver for it.
Please reply for further clarifications.
