Creating Recovery Discs
My daughter's laptop is having issues and we need to send it off for repairs. We did not create recovery discs when we received it. I tried to back up her personal files--not sure if that was successful--while trying to recover her system with the Dell backup & Recovery last week. I was not able to complete the recovery process. I just created recovery discs and I received a message that they were created successfully, but is there a way to check them? The backup and recovery option I tried last week was not supposed to damage system files. I am wondering if the recovery discs I just created will recover her system or if I need to purchase a recovery disc from Dell.
Thank you,
Cathy

If you used Dell's backup and recovery to make the recovery discs then you should be fine as they are the same discs you would have received from Dell. It basically copies the restore partition on the computer to disc.
