Creating Your System Recovery Discs with Dell DataSafe Local Backup 2.0

Question

I have a dell 5521 running Windows 7 Home Premium.  I have only had it a few weeks. Data Management shows me 3 partitions ... Dell Utility, Recovery and OS C:. I thought that if I ever wanted to set my PC back to original factory settings I could use the Recovery Partition (via F8). IS THAT TRUE???? Online I found directions on how to Create Recovery Disks using Dell Datasafe.  Should I also be creating these recovery disks. I wish the PC came with some sort of documentation.

It is true. You can use the F8 key to restore the computer to factory settings. Please refer to the link for more information Here.

It is always advisable to create Recovery disc. In case the Recovery Partition doesn't work, you can always use the Recovery Disc to restore your computer to factory settings. Please refer to the link Here.

Hi ... those directions are for a windows 8 PC.  I am running windows 7 Home Premium.  Are there any directions for that Operating System?

Though, there isn't much difference between Windows 7 and Windows 8. The only manual available for Windows 7 is Quick Start Guide.
