Cursor jumps all over, I cannot type a thing!
I have tried restarting in safe mode, that used to work. Not anymore. Please, PLEASE help! I have a ton of work, and am going insane. Vista is. awful, I will never buy anything from dell again

Vista is a Microsoft product, not Dell's.
The touchpad is not made by Dell. Most PCs use the pads from two major suppliers.
The jumping is related to bad typing habits; dangling fingers brush the pad. If the pad sensitivity is set too high, you may not even have to touch it to have stray inputs.
Download TouchFreeze or a similar product. These free programs shut off the pad when you begin typing and eliminate the jumping.

• Go to control panel open up Ntrig Pen and Touch Settings and click the Touch Tuning reset button and your done!
