D630 and screen resolution during docking

Hi All

My system: Latitude D630
Latest BIOS
Running Windows XP SP2 with all updates available from Microsoft
All latest drivers installed from Dell web site

I just bought a D630 (WXGA+, 1440x900). I have a D-dock with a Dell 2001FP monitor connected through DVI.
When I dock my laptop, for a short moment, the screen resolution changes from 1440x900 to 1024x768 before going to the 1600x1200 resolution supported by the 2001FP monitor.

This short change to 1024x768 resolution messes up all the icons on my desktop and is very anoying.
On my D630 I have the latest video drivers and BIOS.

I understand that the 1440x900 resolution is probably not supported by my external monitor, but I would expect it to change to the correct (supported) resolution right away without flipping through a lower resolution first.
I have tried to delete the HW profile for docking, but still the same problem.

Have anybody else seen this problem?

Some help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

/Thomas
