D820 keyboard problem

Hi,

I've had my D820 since July and, the entire time i've had it, there's been a problem with the keyboard that causes the mouse to randomly click as i'm typing. It's really annoying and I haven't been ablt to figure out what causes it. I thought at one point that it was the t key because it happens the most when i'm typing the word "the." But I don't know about that for sure. Does this problem occur with anyone else and is there a way to fix it? Thanks in advance.

Sounds like you are hitting the top of the point-stick next to 'H' and the stick's tap-click feature is On.  Turn it off and see if it helps (Look in Control Panel / Mouse / Stick).

I've had the same problem until I read your post. Thanks. I didn't know there was a tapping function on the pointing stick. I always beleived it was the glide pad that was over-sensitive or that it auto calibrated itself at a bad time (like the iPod click wheel does if you touch the click wheel when it boots).

What a stupid functionality to have on by default though. I tried to test the actual tap function of the pointing stick, and it is next to impossible to get it to work when you want to. The only way to get it to work is by typing eagerly, and then it will tap tap and tap everywhere.
