Does the LED on the AC adapter come on when you plug the adapter into the wall (but not the system)? If not, the adapter is bad.
If it does, and there's no response from the system, the mainboard in the s yset m is toast.

Thanks, I was afraid of that, I'll try to trace the 19.5 VDC through the board to the battery connector, as I had
thought that the problem was on board, when I seperated the two half's, its a real pain to work on these..
