DELL Latitude E6540 mSATA in '1/2 MINI' slot

Hi,

DELL Latitude E6540 have a slot named as "1/2 MINI". This slot supports a half-size mSATA?

I have tried a couple of 1/2 size mSata cards in the "1/2 mini" slot, and neither were recognized by the system bios (A08). My guess is either that the cards I tried did not have a pci-e to mSata controller/adapter on board, or that the "1/2 mini" slot doesn't have any connectivity to the e6540's sata controller. Would love to find a card that would work in this slot, as it would be a great way to cache essentially "read only" files for fast access....

The Dell support informed me that this slot "1/2 mini" not support mSATA card.
