DUAL external monitor support

Hi, quick question before I make any purchase:

Which Dell laptop would let me connet two external monitors, without any docking station or 3rd party addons? Would I be able to also use the laptop's screen two, so in effect three screens displaying different information?

Many thanks.

But the Precision mobile workstations such as the M70 only has one analogue VGA output, how can it drive two external monitors without dock or thirdparty addons?

Most of the higher-end models (i.e., 6000-ATI X300) and up can do a true dual display.

I don't think any of them can do three simultaneous displays - if any of them can, it'll be the Precision mobile workstations.

I suspect it cannot, which is why I suggested you check.

I don't think you'll find any notebook capable of driving three monitors. You'll need to consider a PCMCIA video card - there are some that can drive up to 4 monitors (though in 2D only, as most use ATI Rage chipsets). Such cards are also not inexpensive - they run $350-500 apiece).

Is there a way to get the vga and dvi to output simulaneously on the e1705? If so this could be a solution I am pretty sure stock settings and drivers wont allow it, but has anyone found it possible otherwise?... please no "i think that it would be possible" responses...

I also would like to know that plus: would it be possible to have three screens (laptop screen, vga output and dvi output) display independently?
