DX9 level driver

hy @ll,

I have the following problem. I have a GeForce4 400 GO 64 MB and the newest DirectX Version 9 installed on my laptop. When I try to start a certain program I always got the error "no DX9 level driver" update driver.

Can somebody help me with this problem ?

Thx cu

You likely have a really old driver installed, and this is causing the issue. Download the latest driver for your card and system from the Downloads tab at the top of this forum.

Alternatively, you can download one of the recent Nvidia drivers and mod it to work with an INF from www.laptopvideo2go.com, instructions are on said site.

Thx for your answer, but as I stated already ....I have already the newest updates of drivers on my system, but the error still appears. So any other ideas?!

Actually you didn't say you had the newest drivers, only the newest DX9, which is why I suggested them .

Anyway, that should allow them to work..... so the other option is to uninstall this particular program, then reinstall it and see if it works.

1. You're right. *lol only stated about DX, but I thought I stated about all drivers on my system.

2. Reinstalling of that software was done several times but that is no solution.

3. What I found out that this program writes a log and it is stated in that log that only roughly 48 MB videomemory were found! If I activate AA and other things it decreases to 32MB. So any idea what I can do to raise from 48 to 64MB? Maybe then my problem is solved! I already used atuner but that doesn't work, max I got was roughly 48MB.

thx Thorval
