Deciphering memory errors

Question

Hi there, have a user running a Latitude E6430 that has recently begun bluescreening often. Checking out the .dmp file indicates memory issues. Run the Dell diagnostics (F12 at powerup) to find out where the fault is. If you see a fault from DIMM 1, swap the two and re-test. If the error follows the module, the module needs to be replaced. If it sticks to one of the two sockets with either module installed, the mainboard needs to be replaced.
