Dell 14r (n4010) Ram upgrade

hi all.. I have a Dell 14r (n4010), and I want to upgrade its Ram memory.. I would like to know if I can use DDR3 1066 (PC3-8500)?? the old ram that is included is DDR3 1333 (PC3-10600).. I search in kingston and they  require 1066 or 1333, then in in crucial 1333 only, but in other website they give 1033 or 1333 for my laptop.. thanks

heres the specs of my laptop:

Dell 14r (n4010)

CPU Intel(R) Core(TM) i3 CPU M 350 @ 2.27GHz, 2261 MHz

1066 or 1033 is a matter of rounding - they're the same thing.  Your i3 won't run RAM over 1066 MHz anyway.

@ejn63- so you mean i can use a ddr3 1066(PC3-8500) ram instead of  DDR3 1333 (PC3-10600), because ddr3 1333 won't run as 1333 and it will run only as 1066? am i right?

btw, sorry for the typo its 1066 not 1033..thanks

Yes.  You can buy either - PC1333 is now more commonly used so it may be the same price (or less expensive).

The N4010 takes a maximum of 2X4G = 8 G RAM.

i do have a 2x 4gb 1066.. the bad thing is, it  hangs 4x already after I change the ram. so i return the old ram memory (1333).. ill check if it will hang again.. btw, heres my existing ram model which i found out that it is a mac memory when i search in corsair.. does it affect the laptop if its a mac memory?
