Hello Bekhouche,

Thanks for writing to us.

When did the issue start. Have you made any hardware or software changes recently?

The error patterns points towards invalid memory .

Please do a power cycle first by removing the adapter and battery and hold down the power button for 10 sec, then put back the power sources and try to boot up.

If its still the same, remove the memory modules by going through the link below and then put back the modules one by one and observe for any promising changes.

let us know how it goes.

Regards

I have experienced the same symptom described by the original poster. The problem is that I have tested all four of the 16GB memory modules in every combination of 1, 2, 3 or 4 installed modules, in every memory slot. All memory modules are good, but I can not in any way power up the system with 64GB of memory. I can boot with 3 x 16GB modules for a total of 48GB. I have eliminated the possibility that it's a particular RAM slot or module... this system simply will not take 64GB. I either get the LED flash pattern described by the original poster, or if the display does initialize, it's a random pattern of colored pixels on the display.

BIOS issue? AMD FirePro W5170M compatibility problem? I can certainly leave room for the possibility that the RAM does have some sort of issue, but I'd say it's pretty slim since they all work with each other in every combination and in every slot... I spent 3 hours verifying, then booted it with 48GB so I could get some work done tonight.

Thanks!

After some further testing, it has to be an issue with 64GB. I have 4 x 16GB DDR4-2400 modules, the original 16GB DDR4-2133 module and an 8GB DDR4-2133 module from an ASUS notebook. All 6 modules work fine in the ASUS, and all 6 work when booted in the Dell 7510 with only one module installed and in any of the 4 RAM slots. That's a lot of boot testing, but I'm 100% sure that there is NOT an issue with any of the modules or RAM slots.

If I boot the 7510 with 3 x 16GB modules and the 8GB module, for a total of 56GB of RAM, it works perfectly, regardless of which RAM slot the 8GB is in and in any combination of the 16GB modules (2133 and 2400). Obviously, the system runs at 2133 speed, as it is the slowest speed of any installed.

However, when I try running 64GB, regardless of whether it's at 2133 or 2400 speed, it fails to boot. There MUST be a problem with running 64GB in the 7510, whether it's the BIOS or an issue with the graphics adapter. I'm going to open a case with support and see what excuses I get... yeah, I'm going in with a negative attitude. Didn't used to be the case with Pro Support, but the last year and a half has changed in experience quite a lot.

FURO99 did you ever get resolution on your 64GB issue? Was it that the Preciaion can't support all 4 slots filled with 16GB DDR4-2400 SODIMMs?

I'm waiting and waiting for Crucial to get stock on the 32GB DDR4-2133 SODIMMs because I think I read somewhere that the system can't run a ful complement of 64GB DDR4-2400 SODIMMs. Any response would be appreciated. Thanks

I have the very same issue!

I have reported it here: forum.notebookreview.com/.../

The system only boots if you leave one of the original RAM sticks, otherwise the battery LED starts blinking as you reported.

Did you managed to find more info about this? Is Dell aware of this issue?

I'm running the last BIOS version  (Version: 1.9.5 Release Date: 12/22/2016)

From my knowledge the Dell Precision 7510 only supports 32 gigabyte ECC Ram total. Only non-ecc is supported up to 64 gigabytes

I think it supports 64GB ECC. You can purchase a Dell 7510 with 64GB ECC on the Dell website, so it should support it.
