Dell D531 upgrade
Hello,i have an D531 with AMD sempron 1,8Ghz processor.I think to upgrade with an AMD turion dual core 2,2Ghz.Is this possible without changing the motherboard,or do i have to change this also?

You cannot change the mainboard - only the CPU. You must reuse everything else - and be sure you clean off the old thermal pad from the heatsink and apply a new one when you install the CPU.

It should be possible - whether it's worth the cost is another matter.

You don't have the option to change the mainboard - nothing other that what you currently have, will fit.
