Dell DataSafe Local Backup
Hi,
Thinking of uninstalling this software. I have used it to create back up media (DVD Disc). My question is do i really need this program anymore? I'm not going to upgrade to full product.
Can I still recover my system especially to factory settings if I uninstall this software. Will my recovery discs still work without Dell Datasafe software?

Hi Rob,
Welcome to the Community.
If you have used Dell data safe local backup to burn backup DVD, then those DVD’s will not work without the Dell data safe local backup application to restore your computer to specific date or factory restore.
This program is useful in case of issues like virus infections or OS issues. You can restore your computer back to factory settings within few minutes. This feature will work with the basic version.
If you would like to disable notification about upgrade to pro version follow the steps mentioned below:
When you see the reminder notification that appears at the bottom right corner, Click on the drop down and click ‘DO NOT remind me’.After you select do not remind me, please click OK.
